Jantana
(Noi)
Hello everyone, my name is Jantana, but just call me Noi. I'm from a
small village near Pong Probat Waterfall in Northern Thailand. I'm 39
years old. I came to know the Lord through the small church in my
village. My heart is to see Thai and tribal children in good health and
obeying the rules in the kitchen. I am the main cook! I am
married to Kip and have two grown children.
Supanni Mordor
(Ben)
Hi, I am Ben. I come from a small Karen village, just outside of
Chiang Rai. I am 35 years old. In May 2010 I received my
Bachelor Degree in Management. This has been a miracle! I did
not get regular education since I grew up in a very poor family. For
many years I worked and studied to get my elementary, middle and high school
diplomas.
I've been with Baan Farm Children's Home from the start when Chris and Esther became the dorm managers. I've done many different jobs during this time, from cooking and shopping for all the kids to teaching Sunday School and supervising kids in the dormitory. I really want the children to know they can be proud to be Karen, Lahu, Akha or whatever tribe they are!
Anan
Hi everyone, my name is Anan. I'm from a Karen village in Mae Hong
Son, close to the boarder with Myanmar (Burma). I grew up in a
Christian family. My father is a pastor. Prior to coming to Baan
Farm Children's Home, I was in the military for 2 years. My wife Aey
is also Karen, we have a 2-1/2 year old son and will soon be having our
second child. I help in the boy's dorm and Aey works part-time in the
office updating the accounting system.
Rungsawang
(Maew)
Hi everyone. My name is Maew. I am 31 years old. I grew up
in a Buddhist family in Suphanburi just north of Bangkok. I came to
the Lord when I was a teenager. God touched me with His love and
brought deep healing in my life. I have lived in Chiang Rai for 14
years. I have been married for 11 years with Parinya (Bo), who used to
work here as well. We have 2 beautiful children - Hannah (10) and Joel
(7). I have been the leader of the girls dorm. I love to dance,
sing and play guitar and enjoy doing this with the girls in the dorm.
Jongjai
(Jong) Saeyang
Hi, my name is Jong. I'm from the Hmong tribe from the Mae Hong Son
area - about a 9 hour bus ride from Chiang Rai. I've been doing many
different jobs, both in the girls dorm and the little boys dorm. Right
now I'm in the girls dorm. Besides loving to share God's word with the
children, I love cleanliness and order. In my free time I like to
cook, talk on the phone and give massages.
Aja
(Tawan) Woeymae
Hi, I am Tawan. I am 26 years old. I grew up in an Akha
family. We came from Myanmar to Mae Sai (northern most city in
Thailand). We were very poor. After finishing elementary school,
I did a 3 year Bible school. It helped me a lot. When I came to
Baan Farm Children's Home 5 years ago to apply for a job, I was still very
much a teenager myself. Now I am the leader of the boys dorm. I
love to share the Word of God, love to worship, play guitar, bass or drums.
Just recently I received my Thai ID card, so now I can get my driver's
license!
Sirapob
(Dto)
Hi, my name is Sirapob, but my nickname is Dto! I am 22 years old from
the Karen tribe and married for two years to Gluay. I have been
working in the small boy's dormitory for a short time and it is very
challenging. The little boys really need a lot of attention. I
have a twin brother who is studying the Bible. When our family became
Christian's we were forced out of our village. I've grown very much
since that day and look forward to what God wants to teach me.
